Complete the profile and configure the site
Add reusable description, amenities, rooms, photos, location, and rules once in Property Profile, then choose a curated Booking Site theme and font pairing, branding, hero treatment, highlights, custom content sections, section order, search appearance, location privacy, visibility, payment, and publishing settings.
Publish your site
Pick a name and your site goes live at yourname.hostmoat.com right away. No domain to buy. If you have your own domain, connect it with a CNAME record and HostMoat provisions the SSL certificate automatically.
Guests book directly
Choose Inquiry Only, 24-hour Request to Book card authorization, or Instant Book. Approved and instant payments flow through Stripe straight to your account.
Integrated with your calendar
The same calendar that tracks Airbnb and VRBO drives availability on the booking website. A direct booking blocks HostMoat availability immediately and appears in the outgoing iCal feed; connected platforms apply that block on their own refresh schedule.
Seasonal pricing & minimum stays
Set a base rate, seasonal overrides, weekend premiums, and minimum-stay rules once, and they apply to every direct booking automatically. Guests see a per-night breakdown before they pay.
You choose how guests commit
Inquiry Only collects a lead without holding dates. Request to Book authorizes the card and holds dates for up to 24 hours while you decide. Instant Book charges and reserves immediately. Approved requests continue through the same payment and rental-agreement flow as instant bookings.
Quote first, book through the same checkout
Send a private quote even when there was no inquiry. Use the calculated price or set a custom all-in total, then choose how long the quote stays valid, whether to reserve the dates, the agreement template, and deposit or full-payment terms. Sending creates no bill or contract; when the guest accepts, HostMoat creates the normal direct-booking invoice, agreement, payment, booking, and portal without asking you to approve the same offer again.
Percentage offers without pricing busywork
Create a code with an optional expiration or use limit, then copy a booking link or share the code. When configured, the percentage reduces only the rental subtotal; cleaning fees stay unchanged, and checkout verifies the offer against live dates and availability.
Invite one past guest back
Open an eligible guest in Guest CRM and HostMoat prepares a one-recipient Email Blast with your booking-site button. Edit and review it, optionally choose one existing active offer, then send or schedule it through the normal campaign controls.
One reminder, only when requested
An Instant Book guest can explicitly request one reminder if payment is left unfinished. HostMoat waits until the old attempt is safely canceled and its hold is released, then links to a fresh checkout that rechecks current availability and price.
Frequently asked
Do I need to buy a domain?
No. Every booking site is hosted free at yourname.hostmoat.com, so you can publish and take bookings without owning a domain. A custom domain is an optional upgrade for branding.
How do I get a custom domain?
Buy one from any registrar (Namecheap, Cloudflare, GoDaddy), add a CNAME record pointing to HostMoat, and enter your domain in Booking Site settings. We handle SSL.
Do I need Stripe?
Yes. Payments flow directly from guests to your Stripe account. HostMoat never touches the money. Stripe's standard processing fees apply.
What does an offer code discount?
A configured offer applies its percentage to the rental subtotal only, not the cleaning fee. The checkout recalculates any deposit and remaining balance from the discounted total, while standard Stripe processing fees may still apply.
Does Invite back email a guest automatically?
No. It opens the existing Email Blasts composer with one currently eligible guest and your booking-site button. You review the email, choose whether to attach an existing available offer, and decide whether and when to send.
What happens when I send a bookable quote?
The guest receives a private expiring offer that starts from your current availability and pricing. You can use the calculated amount, select an existing percentage offer, or enter a different all-in total, plus choose the agreement, payment terms, and an optional date reservation. A custom total and an offer cannot be combined. The email and quote clearly say whether the dates are not held or the exact time a hold ends. No invoice, agreement, or charge is created when you send it; those are created by the normal secure checkout only if the guest accepts.
Does an unfinished-checkout reminder keep the old price or dates?
No. It is an explicit, unchecked Instant Book option for one reminder after the old attempt has been canceled and the date hold released. The return link starts a fresh checkout with current availability and pricing.
Can I use this during the trial?
Yes. The 14-day Pro trial includes the private booking-site draft and the full direct-booking flow. Connect Stripe and publish only when you are ready to accept bookings.
How does the booking site pay for itself?
Pro is $7.99/month or $79.90/year. Depending on your platform fee model and stay size, moving a repeat stay to your direct site may offset that cost.
